Military Vehicle Photos

This is not a Type 2, it is a Type 1b Volkswagen Microbus, built between 1965 and 1967. Type 2 came after the factory holidays in fall 1967.

Type 2 is correct, as it is the designation used by Volkswagen internally, with the VW Käfer being Type 1.
But Helmut isn't absolutly wrong, as this is a Type 2 T1 build until 1967 and followed by the Type 2 T2.

Type 2 was the overall designation of the "Bulli", as Type 1 was the Beetle. All Bulli company designations begin with a 2, so this would be a VW 211. The Bullis were further subdivided, so this is a Type 2, but also a T1b
