Covenanter - Cruiser Tank Mk V

The Covenanter was a British Cruiser tank built during World War II. It was named for the Covenanters, a Scottish religious faction in the British Isles at the time of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. For the most part, Covenanters were never deployed outside of the British Isles and by late 1943 the Covenanter was declared obsolete. Approximately 1,700 were built.
