Please help me id this truck.
It reminds me of a Green Goddess.

May be a Home Office (UK government) truck or Auxilliary Fire Service hose layer (who "Owned" the Green Goddesses of similar vintage - 1950s

Home Office pattern hoselayer of the AFS. The blue beacons are NOT original. They had two forward facing flashing blinkers on the panel directly above the centre strut of the cab windscreen.

It's Bedford RL, as other say probably civil defence, though similar lorries were sold commercially. Definitely NOT WW2.
